Dorking Museum

Local Museum & Heritage Centre

Dorking Museum & Heritage Centre is an independent museum funded entirely by public donations and staffed by volunteers. Whilst the Museum’s building in West Street has been closed (owing to fire damage to the building next door) the Museum has hosted pop-up events at Dorking Library. Other activities include guided and self guided walks, tours of the South Street Caves, loan boxes for schools, digital archives and local history publications.

Dorking Museum & Heritage Centre will celebrate its re-opening at a special event on 26th October 2023. See the What’s On section for details.
