Wildlife Aid Open Weekend 2024

Wildlife Aid Foundation, Randalls Road, Leatherhead KT22 0AL

The WAF fun-filled Open Weekend is returning this July! The two-day family event will take place on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th July. The event provides a unique opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at one of the UK’s leading wildlife hospitals. You will also get to meet some of our volunteers and talk to them about their experiences of looking after sick and injured wildlife.

Our open weekend promises to be great fun for all, with stalls and activities for young and not-so-young (!), alike; you can enjoy local arts & crafts, photography and much more. From learning how to make birdfeeders to buying beautiful artwork, with archery, a bungee run and ‘test your strength’ thrown in for good measure – there are plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained. There will be plenty to eat and drink, too!

This year, the Southern Bus Preservation Group are very kindly providing a free bus service to and from the centre. The timetable will be released, shortly.

What’s more, as part of our commitment to the community, we will be providing information on how you can help mitigate risk to wildlife and key tips on ‘what to do’ if you find a wild animal in need.

Admission is £5 per person, per day (under 5s go free). Parking is available in the field on Springfield Drive, next to the hospital, kindly donated for the day by KBR Leatherhead.

For those on foot, we are just a short walk from Leatherhead Town centre and train station.

The cost of a hospital tour is £3 per person and under 5s go free.
