What’s Stopping us Stopping Climate Change 2.0

12 June 2024 •10.00am – 4.00pm • University of Surrey, Guilford GU2 7XH

Calling representatives of all Residents, Communities and Businesses in Surrey!

Following on from the very successful event in September 2023 (see here for the highlights and full videos), the Surrey Climate Commission and the Institute for Sustainability at the University of Surrey, in partnership with Zero Carbon Guilford, are hosting a participatory workshop to understand how to transform Surrey into a thriving place, while respecting the wellbeing of all people, and the health of the whole planet.

Using a tried and tested approach and materials developed by the renowned Doughnut Economics Action Lab, we will collectively imagine what a truly sustainable Surrey looks like and what new governance initiatives could be introduced to help us get there.

We are looking for contributions from an equitable representation across all Surrey residents, communities and businesses to ensure diversity of experiences and opinions. We particularly welcome representatives for children and youth, the elderly, people with disabilities, migrants and refugees, ethnic minorities groups and all underrepresented communities.

Should you need support to participate, requests for any special arrangements can be made via info@surreyclimate.org.uk

See you there!
