What's On
Picnics and Poems • Part of Big Green Week
Sunday 15 June • 1pm – 4pm
Dorking Meeting House, Butter Hill, South Street, Dorking, RH4 2LE
Part of Dorking’s Big Swap, Switch and Share in Celebration of Great Big Green Week
Family friendly and free!
An opportunity to spend a relaxing afternoon in the peace of the garden with a picnic and the opportunity to read your poems – or just listen to others. Bring your own picnic, your family, your friends, your poems. The garden of the Friends Meeting House is an oasis of green in the town centre and you can stay for as long as you like – or just pop in for a while.
We will be inside if age weather turns against us but hope for a sunny June day. This is an alcohol free venue so just soft drinks please.
There is no charge – but we would like an idea of numbers so please book
This afternoon is a collaboration between Circular Dorking, Dorking Guerrilla Poets, the Narnia Group, Dorking Quakers, Damn Cheek Productions, and Mole Valley Poets – and all are welcome.
