Sustainable Christmas Tree Decoration Award

On Friday morning 9 February four of us from Dorking Town Partnership and Circular Dorking had the pleasure of visiting St Martins C of E School during their assembly to present the children with their first place certificate and a winners prize of a range of Eco friendly children’s books sponsored by Circular Dorking.

The school’s tree was selected by public vote as the ‘Best Dressed Eco Christmas Tree’ at the Very Dorkensian Christmas Festival. The school will be planting the tree for all to enjoy in the coming weeks.

There were over 500 votes cast on the day at our Christmas event. (The top three finalists were: St Martins C of E, Dorking Nursery School and St Josephs Catholic Primary School.) We can’t wait to see photos of the planted trees!
