Putty cakes is a local business based in West Street owned and run by Anita and Gavin. The coffee shop serves their fabulous home made cakes including their very popular cinnamon buns, plus home made sandwiches and soups. At the back of the café is also a beautiful courtyard garden.

Gavin’s cake making skills are world renowned. If you’re looking for a special cake that will wow the crowd, you’re in the right place. Show- stopping creations for birthdays, weddings and absolutely any occasion that you might want to make truly memorable.

They also sell cake making supplies for those ‘Bake-Off’ enthusiasts.

• Takeaway cake tubs, coffee cups and black sacks are all 100% recyclable
• Our furniture is lovingly sourced second-hand
• We’re committed to minimising waste – we recycle coffee grounds and food waste (our delicious bread pudding is made from leftover bread)
• Surplus fondant icing is donated to the local Bee Society
• We use local suppliers including the Furnace Coffee Company Ltd and bread makers Celebration Cakes
