Community Hedge Planting
Saturday 24 February • 10:00 am – 3:30 pm
Hackhurst Farm Hackhurst Lane, Abinger Hammer, RH5 6SF
FREE EVENT
Manor Farm is hosting a hedge planting event in partnership with the Surrey Hills Society.
We’ll be planting lots of small, native trees to form a network of new hedgerows around the farm, and you’re invited to join in with the community planting!
Hedgerows:
• are great for biodiversity – they provide food, shelter, habitat and vital corridors or safe routes for wildlife to travel along and will help to link existing habitats
• are part of the climate change solution as they absorb and store carbon dioxide in the soil
• support the amazing pollinators we need for crop production and protect and improve soil health
• are part of our heritage and the tapestry of our landscape
If you’d like to join us and help with this wildlife and climate-change project, please book your free ticket now!
